GeoPITS turns 3 today! We opened our doors 3 years ago to this day and we’ve enjoyed every minute as every small step has been worth celebrating! During these three years, we have evolved from being a small startup with a 3 member team to a company providing enterprise level support and solutions to clients across the globe. This sums up our humble journey and lets you know, why a startup will change you for the better, forever.

How it all began
Thiru, founder & chief solution architect of GeoPITS, was a computer engineer working in Bangalore with a reputed US based services company on the Microsoft Data Platform. Though there was nothing to complain about, the thirst for something new and the urge to carve out a niche for himself pushed him to take the plunge and thus GeoPITS was born. Back in 2017, the company was started with a 3 member team of database administrators who were keen to learn, experiment and provide their expertise to clients.
The startup journey
Being one of the founding members, I have had the privilege of experiencing what a startup has to offer you! The startup experience will change a person as a whole because the entire journey throws you into the unknown. There is a pleathora of opportunity around you but you have no clue on how to make it work. Specially when you start from scratch!
The last three years has been a period of growth and a learning experience for all of us as we went through several permutations and combinations, trials and errors to arrive at where we are right now. The team has stayed strong through good times and bad with each member bringing in something distinctive to the table. After all, the right team matters!

There are no hard and fast rules here. Every person dons many hats and each day would be a learning. One will learn so much, meet so many people, face unknown challenges and take up projects far out of the comfort zone. The problems solved day-in day-out makes you more confident and lets you trust your intuition which makes a person well-equipped, adaptable and ready for anything the future holds.
The taste of success gives you the boost and a deep sense of satisfaction. The mistakes you make helps you make the right decisions in future, keeps you grounded and makes you proactive.
And this is what makes a startup even more beautiful.

There is no silver bullet which enables a company to be successful overnight. Its been the same with GeoPITS — the process has been gradual yet consistent.

We have taken our baby steps from where we were in 2017 — when we started off with just 3 members and a single client. The organization has had an organic growth and today we are a 20 member team having our presence in over 7 different countries, handling 700+ databases and catering to 50+ customers across the globe. It is overwhelming to see that we have been able to positively influence our customers and they continue to trust us believeing in the quality of work we deliver.
A feather added to the cap was being recognised as one among the most promising tech support companies last year. Your satisfaction skyrockets someone appreciates your work!
The road ahead
We know that there is lots in store and there is much more to work hard for. But more importantly we are enjoying the journey and the team strives to carve out a niche for itself wanting to put our own stamp on the world which will last a long time. And we are gradually getting there, stronger than ever and with a huge drive.
